Serving at the Department of Homeland Security since its inception (and even before), Chief Procurement Officer Soraya Correa is innovating how the department buys solutions to enable its national security mission. Correa’s contracting background at the department, plus elsewhere at agencies like General Services Administration and NASA, led to initiatives like the Procurement Innovation Lab and a mentoring program to innovate government’s purchasing processes with technology and leadership.
